Poem: Bread and Oil

We can read eloquent words,
And over those we can fight.
We can talk truth and philosophy
Through day and through night.

We can clash over sin,
And share over love.
Question the Father,
His Son, and Their Dove.

We can argue each point,
Like the sands on a beach.
But God placed his truth,
Within the poor man’s reach.

So why go there,
When this bread and oil,
Can save us our souls,
And those hours of toil?
